POWER Macro
When in AV Mode, the Foxtel iQ2 Remote is able to be programmed with
codes that enable it to control the power of the television or amp/tuner or
DVD/VCR. When in FOXTEL mode it will control the power of the FOXTEL iQ2. If
more than one device code is programmed into the FOXTEL iQ2 Remote it is
possible to have the FOXTEL iQ2 Remote the power function of all three devices
in sequence when the

butt
on is pressed. This function is called Power
Macro.
To activate the Power Macro:

When Power Macro is set the
ppoowweerr
button sends the power function of all
devices programmed in the sequence of: television, amp/tuner, VCR/DVD.
When television, amp/tuner and/or VCR/DVD codes have been programmed
and the Power Macro feature has been enabled, the
ppoowweerr
butto
n will send
the power function for all devices with one press of the
ppoowweerr
button. Should
you wish to exclude a device from the Power Macro function, perform the fol-
lowing steps:

your television press and hold the

Note: Power Macro can be used with Power Allocation to enable programmed
devices to be switched on/off when the FOXTEL iQ2 Remote Control is in
FOXTEL mode

Hint: When using the Power Macro the on/off states of your devices can
become unsynchronised, that is the television might be on but the amp/tuner
off – pressing the
ppoowweerr
butt
on will turn the television off but the amp/tuner
on. This is because on most devices the power function is a toggle, the same
command turns the device on as turns the device off. To overcome this, cover
the front of the FOXTEL iQ2 Remote with your hand when it is sending to the
device you don’t want to change. The Power Macro first send the command to
the television then the AMP/TUNER then the VCR/DVD, the three commands
are sent about half a second apart.
